Hi All,

I picked up a Pacer Special in Emerald Green

Its a maple neck late B series

A floyd was added later, but they didn't cut a floyd rose nut shelf, instead, they added some sort of lock nut behind the nut.

Anyhow, what do you all think? Should I bring it back to original with an original with an original bridge?

Does anyone have experience with plugging the floyd rose post holes in the body and matching the paint?

Rawk the fuk outta it!!
But let's face it, someone buys a Kramer b/c it has a Floyd.

Yep, really nice special there :thumbs .

I´d go full OFR instead of going back (to an inferior system - even if that was original). The beaks all had the problem with the not-cut-for-a-locking-nut shelf. They all have that overhang which looks kinda funky (and would put every luthier worth his salt to shame) but imo is the result of a lot of necks that came in before ole Floyd came along and a sound policy of not throwing away good things. So, yes, get a real nut on there :roll .

I'm of the view that all Pacers should have Floyds so I'd get the nut installed properly.

Those pics aren't jpeg or gif etc.
They are from Google drive without those designations attached.
Possibly android devices can only see them? Pure speculation on my part cuz I am on a android & I see them.

Thanks Guys!

I didn't receive the guitar yet, so i'm not 100% sure of a few things. i.e. if it is a Mutt or not. I bought it from guitar center online.

To me, its not a mutt, since it has the tremolo cover with the hole to allow for string changes.

I bought it because number 1 on my list was a emerald green special, so I jumped on it.

I actually found an original tremolo from Bryans Guitars, i.e. Uplander guitars and shot him an offer and he accepted.

so I will try that.

I have a Pacer Deluxe B series with a floyd, and want to get this baby back to original.

I will see how that goes first.

I also contacted Heinz about filing in the holes and matching the paint. I'll keep everyone updated with the progress.

Alternatively, does anyone know of a good luthier who can cut the nut shelf and install the Nut?

After removing the trem, I noticed four holes in the center. So this thing came with a ESP Flicker originally.

Does anyone know if the 4 holes for the flicker trem can be used to mount a vintage trem?
