So as we all know i bought that odd DC-3 that was posted on Ebay around Dec. As i mentioned in the post on it here on the fourm i believe its legit Firesale or Employee build as its got Custom order plate spacing and shaper horns then most we see and when browsing reverb one just like mine popped up around 6/7 years ago and sold & is def. not mine since mine was refinished in 2013 & this one was sold in 2015. heres the link to that body: https://reverb.com/item/1413420-kramer- ... jnltzlN0EE

Well no lucking finding a original DC/SC-3 neck & doing a reboard on a run off the mill pointy was going to cost be around the same as a custom neck i chose the Custom neck option & had our fav. Goat Farmer Starvin' Marvin build it, Well just got a update on it & thought id share.

3 piece Flame maple neck, Ebony Board with the correct inlays & Fully bound with 10-14 radius will have a black headstock with Kramer American on the front & will have his VMG logo laser etched on the rear of the headstock & the Heel. It will get a Vintage Amber finish on neck the to give it a Aged look along with aging the binding to best match the body's binding, Also i will not be having the Ebony board dyed like Kramer most likely did, As i love the Grain pattern. The rest of the specs of this build will be of Course Gold OFR & Schaller strap locks & Tuners and instead of the Original JB/SL-1/SL-1 its getting Seymour Duncan Custom shop Full Shred / Vintage Flat Strat SL-2 / Hot Strat SL-6 all with Gold Pole pieces.

Better to go with 12"-16" radius like Jacksons, that's a perfect fit for the OFR nut (and trem) - 10" will give you uneven action on the nut side. Other than that it looks awesome

Update From our resident Goat farmer on the DC-3 neck build. Note: Where not trying to pass it off as Originals but i wanted to go with the original look/styling on the front & But there's no denying its a custom with the back & of course integrated a Goat to pay homage to his nick name in the kramer circle & so everyone knows who built it with his new logo.
